Meadowlark Drone pilots have their Part 107 certificates which allows them to apply for Special Government Interest (SGI) authorizations from the FAA. An SGI is used in emergency situations to receive authorizations quickly even if Temporary Flight Restrictions are in place.

Drones allow emergency personal to access sites that might be too difficult or dangerous for them to otherwise enter. Drones can also quickly and effectively cover wide areas and collect data in large and small scale situations.
